The Top Time launched in the 1960s as Breitling’s “unconventional chronograph,” created for a new, youthful, and speed-obsessed audience. In Thunderball (1965), Sean Connery wore a Top Time ref. 2002 while driving the DB5, linking the two through style as much as engineering. This distinctive limited-edition execution explores the DB5’s materiality in a steel-and-platinum model that pairs a deep black lacquered dial and wood-inlayed inner bezel. Its high-contrast finish recalls the clarity of the car’s instrumentation while introducing a natural warmth. Limited to 315 pieces, it brings together precision and design in equal measure.
